Alan Carr Voted the Best-Known Comedian in the UK

Alan Carr is top in a new survey of the UK’s most famous comedians.

Public responses show that 97% of the nation has heard of our Chatty Man, whose early life is the basis for the hit ITVX sitcom Changing Ends.

The highest placing woman was Jo Brand, who was sixth, and was recognised by 95% of those questioned, the same figure as fifth placed Harry Hill.
