Rob Beckett and Judi Love Join 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown

Channel 4 has confirmed a refreshed line-up for the 29th series of 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown, with Rob Beckett becoming a permanent team captain whilst Judi Love joins the ensemble as a regular returning guest.

Rob said he’s ‘buzzing’ to take on the captain role, calling it an honour to follow the late Sean Lock, and joking that he aims to ‘annihilate Jon Richardson at maths and spelling,’ despite having been ‘the worst Countdown player of all time.’

Judi Love said ‘To be asked to be a new regular on 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown is a huge honour, but have they seen my maths? I know this is going to be full of love, spelling mistakes and a whole lotta laughs. I can’t wait to get started!’

The new line-up will appear together for the first time in the 2025 Christmas special, with the full series to follow on Channel 4.
